Here are some simple steps to get started from your desktop, ipad or phone.
- Go to our website womensshinny.com and login with your username and password. If you do not remember your password or this is the first time you are login in, click on the “Forgot My password” link and reset your password. Then login.
- Top menu bar, under “Hockey Talk”. Click on the link called “Hot Flashes Private Messaging System”.
- The welcome page will have 5 buttons. New Message, Message Box, Settings, Announcements and Directory.
- Click on Settings and review your settings. By default, all settings are set to receive email notifications for new messages and announcements. Here you also have the option to opt out of receiving messages. It’s your choice.
- Next click on Directory, I found this page very easy to locate a friend and send a message.
- You can also click New Message and start typing the person’s name in the “To” box.
- Message Box will list your current message threads. You can toggle message details on or off. Please note: This is a messaging system not an email system. Eventually old message threads will be deleted without notice.
- Announcements This page will list any announcements sent by the administrator, which is me, Josie.
